When it came to weight, dimensions and processing speed, the PowerBook 160 was identical to the PowerBook 145. Its price, however, was $300 more. For this extra morsel o' money you got five important improvements:
  • 16 levels of gray instead of just black and white
  • Ability to easily connect to an external monitor, supporting up to 256 colors.
  • Hard drive capacity to 120MB, previous models expanded only to 80MB.
  • Supports SCSI Disk Mode
  • Memory could be expanded beyond 8MB, up to 14MB.
