The Macintosh LC II, code named "Foster Farms", was destined to be a short-lived Macintosh. Whereas Apple upgraded the processor from the LC's 68020 to a 68030, they unfortunately retained the 16-bit data bus, limiting the computer's capability to take advantage of the extra processing power. The result: an upgraded computer with absolutely no improvement in speed. The LC II was also sold as the Performa 400. With a built-in modem, preinstalled sofware and monitor, it was called the Performa 430, 410, or 405, depending on the hard-drive size. Current used market value of a 4/120 configuration: $115
