November 23, 2009 – Get your wallets ready. The Apple Online Store this morning announced their one-day "TGI Friday. Especially this Friday" shopping event. The shopping event coincides with the nation's largest shopping day, commonly known as "Black Friday". This year, Black Friday will be on November 27th.
The announcement alludes to sales on iPod, iPhone and Mac gift ideas, and boasts free shipping on all orders.
Historically, discounts from Apple on Black Friday have been primarily focused towards accessories and low-cost Apple gear (less than $200). Apple would break form if it allowed significant deals on big-dollar items like desktop Macs and laptops. Luckily, we won't have to wait for long to find out what this sale will bring.
